We at DW Dunn Ltd are very conscious about our carbon footprint. Consequently we try to recycle all materials.

We have implemented our own system involving baling up light weight plastic and cardboard, recycling these at Keynsham weekly. Alongside this, we have seven recycling bins each designated to a certain waste material. These include hard plastics, soft plastics, copper, brazing copper, brass, nozzles, and electrical; all ready to be recycled in the appropriate manner ready for re-use.

For general office paper waste, each office staff has a shredder located at their desk ensuring 100% customer confidentiality. We then pass on waste shredded paper to third parties such as the Royal Mail, for their packaging needs. The remaining waste that we cannot recycle ourselves goes via a skip company who sort through our waste, recycling what we cannot. 

The office has also been updated to achieve an eco-friendly environment including sensor lighting, recycling bins, and staff reminders for standard energy saving protocol such as turning off monitors when away from work stations, and turning off appliances when out of use. We also try purchasing environmentally friendly with products such as recycled pens, pencils, light bulbs; as well as environmentally friendly hygiene and cleaning products. Existing procedures remain including where we offer the service to e-mail invoices and quotes to our customers saving valuable paper.
